We believe in God’s grace for all and seek to live it through love and service.

What We Believe.

At Trinity United Methodist Church, we believe in a living, loving God who creates, redeems, and sustains all things. We center our lives on Jesus Christ, God’s Son, whose life, death, and resurrection reveal God’s grace and offer new life to all who believe.

We trust in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit to guide, renew, and empower us to grow in faith. Rooted in Scripture and shaped by the Wesleyan tradition, we seek to live out our faith with open hearts, open minds, and open doors.

As a United Methodist congregation, we value worship, discipleship, service, and community. We believe God’s grace is for everyone, and we are called to share that grace through love, justice, and hospitality in Beaumont and beyond.

Beliefs, Questions, and Answers

Faith often inspires deep questions, and we welcome them. At Trinity United Methodist Church, we believe that exploring faith is a lifelong journey. Whether you’re new to Christianity, coming from another tradition, or have been part of the church for years, this is a space to seek understanding together.

Our beliefs centered on Jesus Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit, and rooted in Scripture. Shaped by the Wesleyan tradition, we hold both grace and thoughtful inquiry in high regard. These FAQs address some of the most common questions people have about what we believe—your questions are always welcome here.

  • We believe in one living, loving God—the Creator of all things—who is revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, just, and full of grace.

  • Jesus Christ is God’s Son, fully divine and fully human. Through his life, death, and resurrection, Jesus reveals God’s grace, conquers sin and death, and offers new life to all who believe.

  • The Holy Spirit is God’s presence with us today—guiding, empowering, comforting, and transforming us to grow in faith and live as Christ’s disciples.

  • We believe the Old and New Testaments reveal God’s story and truth. Scripture is our primary authority for faith and life, inspired by God and interpreted through tradition, reason, and experience.

  • Baptism is a sacrament of God’s grace, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of faith. It is an outward sign of God’s claim on our lives and is offered to people of all ages.

  • Holy Communion is a sacrament of grace and remembrance. We share bread and cup to encounter Christ’s presence, remember his sacrifice, and are strengthened to live as his people. All are welcome at the Lord’s Table.
